I made this for my bookclub earlier this week. As soon as I made it, I realized my mom has made this several times as well.
From Joy of Cooking:
Rosemary and Brown Sugar Nuts
1 lb mixed nuts
Salt and Pepper
2 T butter, melted
3 T finely chopped rosemary (use fresh if you have it)
2 T brown sugar
2 T light corn syrup (can be omitted if needed)
1. Preheat the oven to 350.
2. Melt the butter.
3. Put the nuts in a mixing bowl.
4. Pour the butter over the nuts.
5. Add the spices, sugar and syrup.
6. Toss until well coated.
7. Spread across a baking sheet (un-greased).
8. Bake for 7-10 minutes until lightly browned.
9. As the nuts cool, stir until the coating dries.
